Housing Voucher List

We've created a spreadsheet that provides an overview of housing voucher programs available in Colorado, including both tenant-based and project-based options. You can head over to it to explore details about voucher types, eligibility criteria, and administering agencies—all designed to help individuals and service providers navigate affordable housing resources. To view the list of vouchers, please click on the following link: Housing Vouchers Spreadsheet.

In the spreadsheet, you will encounter the following definitions and acronyms:

Definitions:

  • Tenant-Based Vouchers: These increase affordable housing choices for low-income families by allowing them to search for and lease privately-owned rental housing. The subsidy follows the tenant.

  • Project-Based Vouchers (PBVs): The subsidy is tied to a specific apartment unit rather than the tenant. If tenants with HCV PBVs (excluding Section 811) move out after one year, they may be eligible to receive a tenant-based voucher.

Acronyms:

  • DOLA = Colorado Department of Local Affairs

  • DOH = Colorado Division of Housing

  • HUD = U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development

  • HCPF = Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing
